Qur’an, Sura Al Shura, Chapter 42

51. And it is not given to any mortal that Allah should speak to them unless it be by inspiration, or from behind a veil, or that He sends a messenger to reveal what He wills by His permission. Know that He is Ali [High and Exalted] and Hakim [Wise].

52. And (O Muhammad) this is how We inspired in you Ruh (al Quds) [The Holy Spirit] with Our command. You did not know what the Kitab was or what to believe with iman [certainty of conviction and connection to Allah]. But We have made it a nur [light] whereby We guide whom We want of Our dependents. Surely, you are guiding people to a right path,

53. The path of Allah, to Whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. Be aware that all things return (e.g., from kinetic to potential energy) and reach Allah in the end.
