Principles of Contemplation
When you are doing contemplation, you have to have certain principles –
1. Allah does not abuse His people
2. Allah has a purpose.
3. Have good dzan [assumption] about Allah
4. Look from Allah’s point of view: What is Allah and why is Allah doing this?
These are the main things that you need to keep in mind. Then you can be on the right track of contemplation.
You can start contemplation from your own point of view as a manifestation. But if you want to know the truth, you have to look from the Creator, Manifestor’s point of view, then you can see the truth.
So, if you do this from the Manifestor’s point of view, then you will understand and come to the realization of many things.
And those who study and contemplate the Zikr [Qur’an; Reminder] (Al Saffat:3)
…Allah does not abuse His subjects. (Aal-e Imran:182)
Surely, We have revealed to you (O Muhammad) the Scripture for humanity with purpose. Then whoever follows the right way, it is for their own good, and whoever goes astray, strays only to their own detriment. And you are not responsible for them. (Al Zumar:41)
It is He Who shows you His signs, and it is He Who sends down from the sky provision for you. Only those who constantly turn to Allah take heed. (Ghafir:13)
