Once you establish this (Refer to Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 of the series), then you have to go back to your five senses. So, with five senses you are experimenting and experiencing Allah in your body. What are these senses? Seeing, tasting, smelling, touching and there is one more. Hearing.
Surely, We created the human being from a mingling drop of thickened fluid. We wish to test them; (that is why) We made them to be hearing, seeing. (Al Insan:2)
All these senses are there for you to get to know Allah in these five perspectives. For me, they are dimensions. Five dimensions, outer dimensions that you need to find. When you see, there are three or more, actually four dimensions or more when you look at things: there is the depth, there is the height, there is the width but there is also the color.
I created the jinn [hidden beings] and human beings only that they may connect and devote themselves to Me (and learn Me). (Al Dhariyat:56)
And so, pay attention to what you are doing because no matter what you are doing, you are having a relationship with Allah at all times. All you need to do is being conscious of this. Be conscious of this. And how can you be conscious of this? By wanting to be conscious of this. You make this the purpose of your life.
Have you not seen those who make their desire their ilah [god], and Allah sends them astray purposefully because of this, and seals up their hearing, perception, senses and heart, and sets a block on their vision? And who can lead them after Allah? Will you not then take heed? (Al Jathiyah:23)
But if you make ‘making more money’ the purpose of your life and trying to be happy by not getting any affliction, having money, comfort and trying to make life comfortable for yourself and this and that, if this is your goal, then you cannot see God and you will never be happy. That is another subject. Actually, even if you are trying to be comfortable, you are still with Allah, you still want to experience Allah with Halim, Salim and Karim and etc. So you have to pay attention.
