And when you recite the Qur’an, seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the outcast. (Al Nahl:98)
Our job is just to show the direction, like the Prophet (peace be upon him). Yours is to carry the message, that is what I try to do with everybody, including you. I just give you the message.
For example, I gave you the message that you need to memorize some suras of the Qur’an and if nobody did, that is your problem. Did you get the message? Yes.
I told you that you have to read the Qur’an and do whatever you feel is comfortable doing, as much as you can of what Allah says. Now that is sharia, you have to do (it).
Did you hear this?
Yes.
Am I responsible?
No.
Am I going to make you do it?
No.
Allah does not make you do (anything),
why should I make you do anything?
You are walking this path and you have to do (it) on your own. I am doing my own thing. I am responsible with this body and what is in it to take it to Allah and that is what I am trying to do.
And recite what has been revealed to you from the Kitab [Book; Scripture] of your Rab. There is no change in His Words. There is no (true) refuge except in Him. (Al Kahf:27)
And keep remembering what is recited in your houses of the ayats [revelations] of Allah and wisdom. Know that Allah is Latif [Subtle and Kind] and Khabir [All-Aware]. (Al Ahzab:34)
So recite of the Qur’an as much as is easy for you. (Al Muzammil:20)
